About The Library

Summer Reading Camp 2017

Starting from the the middle of August in 2017 to the beginning of June 2018, the After School Program will begin. Every year our teacher, Alfreda K. Keller will work with your children with their after-school homework. The After School Program is free and open to all children between the ages 5- 15 during the school year. The program is held from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Mondays through Thursdays.

After School Program 2016

Every year at the William Leonard Library, the board along with the Friends of the WLPLD come up with ideas to give back to the youth in our community. We have filed for grants, held fundraisers, and asked for donations to continue this program. Our main focus of our summer camp is engage our youth to learn that knowledge is the key to success.

After School

This year, our program was held from June 12th 2017 to July 27 2017. The program was held Monday-Thursday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Throughout the program, the students went on educational field trips such as, the Museum of Science and Industry, the Haitian Museum, and Brook-field Zoo. Other than going on field trips, the students read books and worked on their mathematical skills.
